This baby’s survival was a real miracle and “an act of God.”
The three teenage girls were exploring the woods close to their home in Forsyth County when they suddenly heard peculiar noises. They were unsure about the source of these strange sounds, which sounded like a baby crying.
In the following moment, they glanced at one another, pondering if a baby could possibly be present amidst the forest. Despite the oddness of the thought, they ultimately chose to reach out to their father for assistance. It turned out to be the wisest choice they could have made.
When their dad, Alan Ragatz, came, he was shocked by the sight. He found a little baby with its umbilical cord still untouched left in a plastic beg.
Alan and his daughters were the reason the newborn baby girl survived, even though she was only a few hours old.
On that memorable day, Kayla, one of Alan’s daughters, mentioned, “We took our flashlights and started driving around, and we were like, ‘That doesn’t sound like an animal.’”
Alan was told about the suspected cries of a baby, and he responded by saying, “It must be a baby raccoon, deer, or something.”
But his daughters were right, and thank God they acted quickly and helped save the tiny baby’s life.
Alan shared that they went down, pulled it up, and found a baby in a plastic bag. They called 911. The baby was alive and crying, which they took as a good sign. Alan credited his girls for sticking with it.
The authorities were notified and the baby was brought to a secure location where she received the necessary assistance and care.
Sheriff Ron Freeman expressed gratitude to the Ragatz family for their actions, stating that it was undoubtedly a miracle that this child was discovered. Without the help of these citizens, our discussion would be taking a different turn.
The survival of the baby whom they named India was a real miracle and “an act of God” as despite the way she was dumped by her mom, she didn’t suffer any injuries.
India’s heartwarming story went viral, attracting a lot of attention from people who wanted to adopt her. Over a thousand individuals were eager to provide her with the loving home her birth parents couldn’t. Tom Rawlings, who heads the state Division of Family and Children Services, mentioned, “We’ve received an overwhelming response from thousands of people in the country and even from other parts of North America who are interested in adopting Baby India.”
Princess India is doing well and excited to meet her new parents. She’s gaining weight, smiling often, and enjoys being held and sung to. Overall, she’s thriving.
Currently, the entire nation is expressing their affection and sending their heartfelt wishes to the brave young girl who never gave up in her battle for survival and made every effort to ensure her pleas for assistance were heard.
